HNL - Prayer

So as I sat on the phone today waiting for a technical support rep to answer I thought man how cool is it that we don't have to wait to talk to our Heavenly Father. We have a direct connection, no middle man, no receptionist, a straight connection to God. It is so cool to know that we don't have to wait in line to talk to God that He is always available. Which leads me to what we talked about tonight in MS. We took step 2 of taking it to a Hole Notha Level with our relationship with God, prayer. We started our night in Luke 11 where the disciples ask Jesus how to pray. Then we looked at the account as told by Matthew. We learned that Prayer is our one way of communication with God our Father. It is a vital part to take to a HNL. We learned the prayer is private, it's precise, and it's productive. We also realized tonight that prayer is an intimate time with God the Father. We must be in constant communication with God. He desires that with us and we must desire that with him. Its the next step to take it to a Hole Notha Level with our relationship with God. So I challenged the students and the leaders to either keep the line of communication always open or if the line of communication has been broken to reconnect it. Because it is the next step to take it to a HNL with our relationship with Christ.

HNL Hole Notha Level

This past Wednesday night we started a new series called HNL "Hole Notha Level". Over the next few weeks we are going to be talking about issues that will help us take it to a HNL with our relationship with God. For a visual we are using a staircase without the steps and each week we are going to add a step with each area we talk about. Thanks to Aaron for helping getting the staircase.

To begin with this Wednesday we had to put the first step on the staircase. The only way to begin building a closer relationship with God is that we had to know who Jesus is and that He is in our heart. So we talked about salvation and how important it is to believe Jesus is in love with us. We also talked about how easy it is to accept Him into our hearts and that once we did that we could begin to take it to a HOLE NOTHA LEVEL. So as we begin taking it to a HNL watch this video and really ask yourself do you know Jesus personally because it only takes a matter of seconds.
